More poetry coming in 2012


I have decided it's time to update my annual list of poetry books published for young people with new titles I have run across in recent months. Some have been mentioned or featured here and elsewhere already, but I'm always eager to provide a comprehensive resource whenever possible. (I'll update my January list to include all these, too, for future reference.)

Wow, we've got a lot of reading to do! Since you've been doing this list, has the number of children's poetry offerings gone up or down? And do you include self-pubbed collections if you know about them?

Thanks for stopping by, Renee, Robyn, and Jane. It seems to me the number of poetry titles has been fairly stable each year-- interesting to consider. Thanks for the reminders too, Jane. LAST LAUGHS and TAKE TWO were already on my January list, but I'll add EKATERINOSLAV. I agree that it's an adult work that teens would really find meaningful, too.
