Re OP ...Thank you, Sylvia, for your wonderful post!

Re OP books: Elaine Magliaro (Wild Rose Reader) told me last week that she might do a blog entry soon about OP poetry collections that she'd love to see back in print. I hope so!

I must sound a bit evangelical about Print-On-Demand (POD), which is kind of funny since I absolutely hated the idea of it a year ago. One reason I've changed my mind is that an increasing number of established authors are seeing their OP books republished in POD editions (by traditional publishers).

Also, I've recently met several teachers and librarians who have written a good story but simply can't get it published. Self-publishing used to cost thousands of dollars and would leave a part-time author with a hundred boxes growing spider webs in the garage. POD puts an end to the heartache and hassle of trying to get a story accepted by a traditional publisher...OOPS, wait...there I go again, sounding evangelical. Better stop now!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31122236.post-57796898460174926022008-09-06T13:57:00.000-05:002008-09-06T13:57:00.000-05:00There are so many poetry books out of print that i...There are so many poetry books out of print that it might almost be easier to list those that are IN print. And you can doublecheck a book's in print or out of print status through BOOKS IN PRINT (available as a database through many libraries). Hope that helps a bit.
SylviaSylvia Vardellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00570078181499700656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31122236.post-56358457880804178552008-09-06T04:46:00.000-05:002008-09-06T04:46:00.000-05:00Really interesting! Is there a list anywhere of wonderful books that are OP?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
